ACCA KAPPA VOLATA

ACCA KAPPA has launched a new perfume. Last year, ACCA KAPPA was approached by the Giro d’Italia organization to develop a perfume in honor of the 90th anniversary of the “Maglia Rosa” (the iconic pink jersey awarded daily to the leader of the Giro d’Italia), and thus VOLATA was born.

The landscape and its unforgettable scents, the fighting spirit and perseverance displayed during the race, served as inspiration for the development of the unisex fragrance VOLATA (literally translated as ‘sprint’). The top notes of the fragrance feature invigorating pink pepper, a nod to the iconic tradition of the ‘Maglia Rosa’. The Maglia Rosa is a tribute to the founding newspaper of the Giro, the Gazzetta Dello Sport (which has been printed on pink paper since 1896). This is followed by the elegance of iris, musky angelica with hints of spicy cardamom, and powerful ginger and cypress in the heart.

Luca Maffei, the nose behind VOLATA, has developed a delightful fragrance that can be worn by both women and men. Luca Maffei is also known for the award-winning Black Pepper & Sandalwood.
